We love eating at this place. We drive down from Felton to eat here all the time. They have super good carnitas and taco salad and basically everything. Plus the artwork on the walls is super cool and it’s been a family owned local business forever
I loved this family owned great little Mexican restaurant. The food was delicious the service was awesome and the atmosphere was great. If you're ever in Santa Cruz and you're craving for some good Mexican food, this is the place. I had the chimichanga, and it was amazing. Highly recommend it
Authentic, beautiful, family run taqueria. Loved our smothered burrito and chimi! Al Pastor was great. Grandparents cooking for you in the kitchen. Quiet little oasis in the middle of Santa Cruz. Nothing really "spicy" but everything really tasty.
Absolutely delicious. Portion sizes are beyond righteous. Literally family owned and operated. Same few people since I was 8. The service is beyond what one would traditionally expect, it’s beautiful to see the personal relationships with there regulars. There salsa is the best in town.
My son just moved nearby. I knew there would be times he wouldn't be able to have time to grocery shop, and as a mom, I always imagine an empty frig. We stopped by, and this lovely restaurant will be the saving grace. The food is amazing, and the portions are large enough for a ravenous young man. The food came amazing fast, and many young patrons take food to go. Alex is very kind and keeps the lobby spotless. I'm so happy we found De LA Hacienda Taqueria !
One of my to-go places when I’m hungry in Santa Cruz. I’m vegetarian and there are many vegetarian options available. Really love the food! Especially love the vegetarian nachos.
Hacienda is the best restaurant I’ve ever been to. I have been to 14 countries and lived in different towns in different states. There is no food in the world that compares. I have been going to hacienda religiously since I was ten years old. I had my 16th birthday party at hacienda. I hired hacienda to come cook for my 15th birthday party. My contact in my friends phone is “haciendas strongest warrior”. I fly home from New York multiple times a year to get hacienda. Every single time I have brought a friend to Santa Cruz the first thing I show them is hacienda and I make them eat it with me every day for the entirety of their trip. When my parents ask where I want to go out to breakfast, lunch, or dinner, my answer has always been and will always be hacienda. If I could eat one thing for the rest of my life it would be a cheese quesadilla with avocado from hacienda. They have the best salsa I’ve had in my life, I used to buy bottles from them and put it on everything. I used to be excited for Christmas but now I am not because hacienda is closed. The workers are the sweetest people and the service is incredible. I want to drop out of school and work at hacienda full time so I can eat their food every day. I have never written a review for anything, but I must for hacienda.
This place is superb. Incredibly quick service, cozy and casual dining area, and never disappoints. Bonus points for the chilis and peppers growing in the back patio area. Great location, very affordable, hits the spot every time.
